The South Texas Stampede (STS) team showed unparalleled prowess at the Smoke Signals Cookoff in Liberty, TX, on November 11th. This multifaceted event featured four exciting turn-ins: Steak A, Steak B, an ancillary category focused on all things pumpkin, and a Kids Pork Chops event managed by the Gene Potts Memorial.
STS swept all four categories, with two members clinching coveted Golden Tickets to the SCA World Championship in Fort Worth, TX, in March 2024. The team set a new one-day event record, notching an impressive 24 top-10 calls.
