South Texas Stampede (STS) members, James and Lisa Garza, representing The Republic of ‘Que, showcased their culinary prowess at the IBCS-sanctioned ATX BBQ Showdown from March 22nd to March 24th, 2024. Held at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) as part of the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix NASCAR triple-header weekend, the event welcomed campers with a free party and a thrilling barbecue cookoff featuring Texas’ finest competition grillers.
The decision to enhance their products with S&P All Purpose Seasoning proved to be a winning one for the Garzas.
Their dedication and skill earned them accolades from the judges:
- 🐔 3rd Place Chicken
- 🐷 9th Place Ribs
- 🐮 2nd Place Brisket
Their stellar performance culminated in a 4th Overall finish, a testament to their talent and hard work. The top five in each category were honored during the pre-race ceremonies for Sunday’s EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix NASCAR Cup Series race.
