A Ribeye Showdown in Pensacola
On September 9, 2023, under the sun-soaked skies of Pensacola, Florida, the South Texas Stampede team celebrated a monumental victory. Their very own Paul Wolfe emerged as the 4th-place winner out of 51 fierce competitors in the Steak Cookoff Association (SCA) Ribeye Cookoff. This triumph, however, was just the beginning of an incredible journey.
Passing Down the Golden Ticket
While Paul’s achievement was certainly worth celebrating, there was an extra layer of excitement to this win. Tim Brown, a previous Golden Ticket holder, had already secured his place at the SCA World Championship X, scheduled for March 2024 in Fort Worth.
In accordance with SCA rules, Tim graciously passed down his Golden Ticket to Paul Wolfe. This act of generosity and belief in a fellow team member exemplifies the true spirit of the Ribeye Cookoff competitions.
