As the sun set on 2023, South Texas Stampede (STS) was gearing up to welcome the new year with sizzle and flavor. The Grate Sauces & Rubs New Years Bash Steak Cookoff, held in Goldsboro, NC, marked the grand finale of the year and the inaugural cookoff for 2024. STS members Raymond Patterson, Doug Homann, and Evy Homann stepped up to the grill, ready to bring their A-game.

12/31/2023: Doubling Down on Flavor

New Year’s Eve saw STS doubling down on flavor, with two Steak categories and more. Raymond Patterson and Doug Homann tied for 4th place in Steak A, while Doug Homann secured an 8th place in Steak B. Evy Homann maintained her momentum, landing 9th place in the Sausage category and a solid 6th place in Dessert.
